Like the lovely briar i have also started my collection of Peter’s amazing wine bottles with ‘Favour’, a 2010 Sauv.   briarmark: Marisco Kings Series Wine Labels Decided it was about time to post about my new favourite wine bottles. I bought one of these the other day and it is just too lovely to contemplate drinking. The calligraphy was actually done by one of my tutors, the extremely talented Peter Gilderdale. Not sure of where they are stocked other than in NZ, but if you do manage to get your hands on one, they are even more impressive in real life, with the texture of the printing making it seem like every bottle has been individually scribed.

experiment “abc pattern” to test if letter rows can link together

I was not overly happy with the joining in previous examples… maybe using thin linkages could be worth exploring (bottom abc)… must think about how rows of text are going to sit together also. eek. so much to do so little time!

thought i had better test out the letters so far to get the jist of how they may join. some examples working better than others.

Using the strokes from previous post I’ve been looking at putting the alphabet together.. so far this is what i have.. note grey is for gross… these letters need serious revising.
